Initially employed as Food service manager (no director posts outside main board in Bestway), latterly self employed consultant, contracting to Bestway and other businesses

 

  • Production and delivery of Bestway strategic plan for foodservice, including range, pricing, marketing, recruitment, and business sector focus, etc
  • Streamlined procurement process for Bestway. Maximised revenue streams above and below the line including securing business terms for Bestway on leaving Landmark

1993-August 2002

 

3663 is an international food wholesaler, servicing caterers and retailers in the UK and Europe. A subsidiary of Bidvest, 3663.has a turnover of circa £1 billion GBP pa and employs 4500 staff

·         Employed continuously by same business for 9 ½ years

2000-2002 Regional Managing Director, Frozen and Chilled Division

Role involved full management and profit responsibility for five depots in Midlands/South West, six direct reports, 275 staff (both operational and sales people, 55 commercial vehicles)

·         Increased profit by £1.01 million year on year

·         Delivered 25% extra margin at less than prior year cost per item delivered

·         Leading the project to transfer 50% of Walls Ice cream National business to 3663. Employed 140 people, built and staffed three call centres, opened two Depots, bought 52 vehicles and    transferred over 7000 customers. Project successfully completed in two months
